Chroniques is calling for projects for their ‘Creations in all disciplines’ call, which is intended for national and international artists for the production of an original artwork using or questioning digital practices in various possible forms. These forms include visual art (installation, video, immersive installation, and more) live performance, sound creation, virtual or augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and more.
Artworks must be an original work using or questioning digital practices in resonance with the theme of the biennial: ‘Resistance: hacktivism, diversions and artistic tactics in the digital age’.
The artwork must be ready for presentation at the Biennial from October 2026 to January 2027.
Works in different forms are eligible, such as:
- Installation and visual art
- Live performance, hybrid form and performance
- Live audiovisual
- Video installation
- Immersive installation
- Sound creation
- Virtual or augmented reality
- Experimental video game
The artworks can be also available in an online format.
Live performance and XR projects must have a delegated producer, who will ensure the administrative and financial follow-up of the production of the artwork. Particular attention to the project’s eco-responsibility will be part of the selection criteria.
The average support for this call for projects is 7,000 EUR (which includes the transfer price of the artwork for its presentation and the mobilisation of the artist for the time of assembly and dismantling if necessary). Depending on the needs of the project, some of the platform’s partners offer support for one or more residencies. The organisers will also provide support during the writing and production phases, connect with specialised technicians, and help in touring in regional, national and international networks.
