- News / 40mcube: GENERATOR Professional Development Programme (France)Initiated and carried out by 40mcube, in partnership with the company Self Signal, GENERATOR is both a continuing professional development programme dedicated to young visual artists and a residency for curators. Both programmes take place in 40mcube’s spaces in Rennes, France. The programme for artists will run from 2 October 2023 – 26 April 2024, and the residency for curators from 4-29 March 2024. Both programmes are open internationally, with no age limit.
- News / More-than-Planet: Residencies in Research Stations in Pyhäsalmi Mine and Oulanka National Park (Finland)As part of the European project More-than-Planet, Finnish partner Photo North - Northern Photographic Centre is launching an open call for artists for two residency programmes in 2023 and 2024 at Pyhäsalmi Mine and Oulanka National Park in Finland. The programme aims to re-examine the way people understand and picture the environment on the level of the planet as a conceptual whole. The residency is open to all forms of art but places an emphasis on artistic practices that employ lens-based techniques.

The inspirational theme for the installation is the ‘Arts of Survival’. Depending on the characteristics of the installation, the location can either be an indoor or outdoor space.

- News / Hydromedia: Visual Arts Residency on the Scheldt Estuary in Antwerp (Belgium)In the first call from the European project Hydromedia, four selected residents will work in the Scheldt Estuary, the ecological zone alongside the Scheldt, a living climate laboratory, and a rare phenomenon worldwide. The residency takes place over April 2023 and is open to visual artists currently living in Europe and/or who have the nationality of one of the countries that are part of the EU.
- News / NOOR Foundation: Educational Programme, ‘Amplifying Voices from the Ivory Coast Cocoa Communities’ (Ivory Coast / Online)In partnership with the Chocolonely Foundation, NOOR Foundation are organising an extensive workshop training programme in West Africa to develop, produce and amplify the local stories around the cocoa communities. The workshop takes place between March - September 2023, with a seven-day workshop in Divo, Ivory Coast. The programme is open to French speaking photographers of all ages, who are nationals of Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, or Togo.

The programme is intended for active artists, creators, and theorists, who desire independence and want space and technical support for working on their projects. The residency will take place for 4-8 weeks between May and November 2023.

- News / Garage Gallery: Visual Arts Residency for Artists and Curators (Czech Republic)Garage Gallery’s international residency for artists and curators is open to any artist who does not have a permanent residence in Prague. The residency will end with a final exhibition of the selected applicant’s project, and is open for solo or duo applications due to the size of the offered accommodation. The next residency will run from 1 July – 15 September 2023, divided into a two-month residency followed by two weeks of installation and preparation for an exhibition at the gallery starting in mid September 2023.
