Métropole Rouen Normandie is teaming up with ONF to host the Forêt Monumentale exhibition. This event is a two-year art exhibition that takes the form of a trail of monumental artworks, to be created in the Roumare Forest in France. This call for creations will select a total of 9 artworks for production and installation between November 2023 – June 2024. Participants may be individuals or groups.

ALTER- is a 2-3 month residency in Chandolin, a village perched at an altitude of 2000 meters in the Val d’Anniviers in the Swiss Alps, that invites one transdisciplinary team of 3-5 artists and researchers to rethink and respond to growing environmental crises and their associated social, economic, and cultural shifts. The next residency takes place either for 3 months from 5 June – 30 August 2023 or for 2 months from 3 July – 30 August 2023

Fondation Fiminco is launching a call for curators for a three-month research, creation and production residency taking place in Romainville (Seine-Saint-Denis) from mid-January to mid-April or from mid-April to mid-July 2023. It is open to emerging curators as well as curators with significant professional experience, living in France and abroad.

The School of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences (EHESS) offers one-month residency grants at the Maison des Chercheurs located at Campus Condorcet for international artists to support their engagement in a collaboration with researchers based at EHESS. Artist and researcher duos apply with a predefined project and work takes place between March - November 2023.

The association Artémed is offering an artist residency in Paris in the 13th arrondissement for artists of Mediterranean nationalities (except French). The theme for the residency is ‘world cities’. The residency will take place over 1-2 months in 2023 or 2024, and is intended for artists who practice painting, drawing, illustration, photography, or installation. The Centre national de la danse’s international conference ‘Competing?!’ (28-30 September 2023) wishes to interrogate the history and practice of dance competitions, in connection to competitive sports events. The conference organisers seek contributions that can take a number of formats – from paper presentations to dance performances, videos and panels.

The pan–African program LEWO (Leadership and Empowerment for Women) is dedicated to the professionalisation and capacity building of women artists and cultural entrepreneurs in Africa. 16 female artists and cultural entrepreneurs from West Africa and Central Africa will be selected to take part in BOOT CAMP #3 scheduled in Ségou from March 2023.

AWARE: Archives of Women Artists, Research and Exhibitions is setting up a new residency programme at the Villa Vassilieff in Paris for research on women and non-binary photographers and video artists. The length of the residency will be 3 months (from 1 February 2023 to 30 April 2023).

Mapping Festival is organised by PPING, a Geneva-based non-profit cultural association. Its goal is to promote the audiovisual, technological and transdisciplinary arts on the French-speaking part of Switzerland and to make them known internationally. The festival currently has three open calls for its 2023 edition.
