Fondation Fiminco is launching a call for curators for a three-month research, creation and production residency taking place in Romainville (Seine-Saint-Denis) from mid-January to mid-April or from mid-April to mid-July 2023. It is open to emerging curators as well as curators with significant professional experience, living in France and abroad.
The curatorial residence is part of the dynamics of Fondation Fiminco’s art residency programme which welcomes 16 international artists in residence all at once for a period of 11 months, starting in September 2022.
In addition to their own research project, candidates must be involved in the Fondation Fiminco’s cultural programme and propose ideas based on two key events: an open studio organised with the artists in residence, and another key event (such as a conference, portfolio review, performance, meetings with professionals from the art world, etc.).
In order to support the research projects of the curators in residence, a research grant of 5000€ (including VAT) will be awarded for the duration of the residency. Artists in residence also receive accommodation and return trip travel expenses up to 300€ within Europe, and 800€ outside of Europe.
