Fellowship projects are designed to span six to nine months (between July 2025 and March 2026) and are intended as open-ended practice implementation.
The programme is designed to expand existing knowledge and expertise with the aim of making a positive contribution towards more sustainable, circular and climate-conscious architecture through regenerative material practices.
The Experimental Fellowship is based in Berlin and operates both online and on-site. In addition to ongoing dialogue, mentoring and work of the fellow, project-related stays in Berlin should be incorporated into the timeline at the application stage.
Experimental Fellowship is open to individuals and/or teams, studios and collectives of exceptionally talented, emerging international practitioners and creatives, including architects, artists, designers, engineers, scientists and cross-disciplinary teams or collaborations.
Experimental Fellowship includes financial support covering a monthly stipend (ind. 1,500 EUR per month; team 2,500 EUR per month) expenses and production. Project-related expenses and production costs may total up to 30,000 EUR. Each applicant should provide a budget covering eligible, essential production costs for the successful completion of the Fellowship project (e.g. materials, equipment, external commissions, travel).
