The Encounters of Young International Photography Artist Residency takes place in Niort, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region (France). Niort is located on the edge of the Marais Poitevin, near the Atlantic coast, between Nantes and Bordeaux.
Every year, the Artist Residency welcomes emerging international photographers with a wide variety of approaches, selected based on their portfolios. This year, they will be mentored throughout their stay by the duo Simon Brodbeck and Lucie de Barbuat.
During the Artist Residency, the artists-in-residence agree to produce works that will make up the exhibition marking the end of the Artist Residency, 10 April – 31 May 2027, at the Bernard d’Agesci Museum in Niort.
