For its sixth edition, the Art Here exhibition at Louvre Abu Dhabi invites contemporary artists from the GCC countries (both nationals and residents) and from India (nationals only) to submit proposals for large scale sculptures and installations designed for the museum’s outdoor spaces. Presented in collaboration with Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille, Art Here 2026: Confluences, provides a significant platform for artists to engage with Louvre Abu Dhabi’s universal narrative, while fostering contemporary artistic practice across the region.
Opening beneath the dome of Louvre Abu Dhabi on 11 November and running until 28 February, Art Here 2026—conceived by guest curator Kamini Sawhney—invites artists to explore the theme of ‘Confluences’. This theme reflects the intertwined histories, cultures, and migrations, particularly across the Indian Ocean, that continually shape identities, communities, and everyday life, presenting culture as a dynamic and ever evolving exchange.
The jury will select a shortlist of artworks to be commissioned and exhibited at Art Here 2026 exhibition (November 2026). One will then be selected for the 2026 Richard Mille Art Prize (60,000 USD, announced December 2026)
Applicants should provide a provisional budget for the artwork production and installation, capped at 140,000 AED. This budget should cover the artist’s travel and accommodation for the installation and opening in November (one week in Abu Dhabi), as well as attendance at the Richard Mille Art Prize ceremony in December.
