SLEEPING BEAUTIES is a multi-residency project designed and developed by EUNIC Romania. It involves six cultural institutions operating in Romania – the British Council, the Czech Centre, the Goethe Institute, the Cervantes Institute, the Polish Institute and Fundația9 – each engaged in supporting one residency.

The Polygona Kunstverein e.V. invites applications for two artist-in-residence positions as part of the KOBRA Cultural Network’s Passage Art-Residency-Programme in the Wittenberg region, Germany. This four-week residency (October 2026) brings together artists working in photography and film to engage with two distinct research contexts:

The ‘Roots and Routes’ Residence 2026 is an open call for artists to take part in a residency in Gjirokastra Castle and Luzat village, Albania, within the framework of the MON-ART ‘Monasteries of Art’ project. The residency invites participants to engage with local heritage, communities and landscapes through artistic practice.

Across three distinct routes—from a drifting boat residency through the canals of France to a cycling expedition connecting Vienna, Bratislava, and Budapest—participants engage in a tapestry of experiences. These include water quality testing, participatory artistic interventions, storytelling, and hands-on workshops on the rights of nature.

The Chalet du Parc, in partnership with Maison Gutenberg, is launching an open call for its artistic residency programme. For its first edition, the programme will host three creative residencies taking place within a unique cultural and natural environment in Lyon.

The Narva Art Residency (NART), in cooperation with the Narva City Architecture and Urban Planning Department, is organising a third competition to create a new large-scale installation or sculpture.

Mon-Art Residence Programme is calling for applications from artists for a residency at the Valserena Abbey, Parma (Italy), for an average of 3–6 months.
