Forecast has announced their call for ideas for the 11th edition of Forecast Mentorships. Artistic practitioners and cultural producers working in all creative fields, anywhere in the world, are encouraged to apply to Forecast’s international mentorship programme with projects that could benefit from the expertise of one of this edition’s mentors and their unique approach to material and knowledge production.
The mentors for this edition are: writer and comedian Vidura Bandara Rajapaksa (LK); performance maker Tom Cassani (UK); artist and filmmaker Keren Cytter (IL); sci fi artist and body architect Lucy McRae (Aus); multimedia artist Almagul Menlibayeva (Kaz); and composer and sound artist Heinali (UA).
The selection process is two-tiered. First, the mentors select three nominated concepts each. The 18 nominees—three in each field—are invited to Berlin to discuss their ideas and present them at Radialsystem during the Forecast Forum taking place in July 2026. Following the Forum, each mentor will select one concept to accompany to its realisation. From August 2026 to March 2027 the mentor and mentee will convene for a short residency consisting of several days of creative exchanges and in-person mentoring at a hosting institution. The residency culminates in a public premiere of the project.
Selected participants at the Forecast Forum in July 2026 receive a fee of 2,000 EUR. Travel and accommodation (for duos and collectives only one person’s travel and accommodation is covered). The six artists selected for the next stage each receive an artist fee of 6,000 EUR and a production budget for realising the project.
