Since 2016, the Experimance Festival in Saarbrücken, Germany has provided a platform for unconventional types of music, as well as sound and performance art.
For the next Experimance Festival, taking place 14-17 July 2022, the organisers are looking for artistic projects from the fields of sound art and experimental music. An application is possible as a solo artist or as a group.
Existing work is sought in in the following categories:
- Exhibition (14-17 July 2022): Artists/groups from the fields of installation sound art, sound objects, DIY-instruments for a sound art exhibition in the context of the festival.
- Concert & Performance (15-16 July 2022): Artists from the fields of sound performance and experimental music. The Focus is on the use of self-made sound generators, untypical playing styles, use of everyday or unusual objects as instruments.
- Workshop & Lecture (16 July 2022): Artists from the fields of sound art, performance, experimental music for participatory workshops and lectures.
- DJ- & Live-Sets (15-16 July 2022): DJs and Musicians from the fields of ambient, soundscape, electro, experimental music.
The festival provides a fee for artistic work and travel and transport costs up to 120€.
