CIMAM: Travel Grants for the CIMAM 2022 Annual Conference (Spain)

A semi-circle of people stand listening to a speaker. They are travel grantees at CIMAM's 2021 Annual Conference, Lodz and Gdansk, Poland.

CIMAM is pleased to offer around 30 travel grants to support the attendance of contemporary art curators, directors, and museum professionals at their 2022 Annual Conference. Titled ‘The Attentive Museum. Permeable Practices for a Common Ground’, this important meeting will be held in Mallorca, the Balearic Islands in Spain from 11-13 November 2022.

The aim of the CIMAM Travel Grant Programme is to support the curatorial and research development of applicants through their attendance at the Annual Conference where the most current concerns on contemporary art practices are being discussed.

Grants are addressed to modern and contemporary art museum directors and curators, researchers, and independent curators whose field of research and specialisation is contemporary art theory, collections, and museums.

The support will cover:

  • Conference registration, includes access to all conference sessions, lunches, dinners, refreshment breaks, access to organised visits, the networking session, the workshop, and coach service to and from planned visits during the 3 conference days.
  • Travel expenses (round trip economy flight, train, or ferry tickets).
  • Four-night accommodation in one of the hotels recommended by CIMAM.
  • Becoming a member of CIMAM for the period awarded.
