Culture Moves Europe

The call for residency hosts provides financial support to legal entities wishing to host artists and cultural professionals for a residency project. The residency should host between 1 and 5 residents and it should follow two of these objectives: to learn, to create, to explore, to connect, or to transform.

Culture Moves Europe is looking for 90 individual evaluators to assess project applications for the individual mobility action and residency action lines as part of one evaluator pool. This is for the evaluation periods from November 2025 to January 2028.

To celebrate the first 3 years of Culture Moves Europe and to create bridges to the future, Culture Moves Europe is organising an in-person event on 3 April 2025, in Brussels, Belgium.

Culture Moves Europe is calling for applications from artists and cultural professionals for their third round of mobility funding.

The Goethe-Institut is looking for a full-time Communication Officer for the EU-funded project Culture Moves Europe, for a one-year contract with possibility of extension.

Culture Moves Europe is the permanent mobility scheme funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union and implemented by the Goethe-Institut. This third call for residency hosts provides financial support to organisations and artists registered as legal entities working in the sectors of music, literature, architecture, cultural heritage, design and fashion design, visual arts, and performing arts.

The Cultural Moves Europe grant for residency hosts allows organisations in Creative Europe countries to welcome international artists and cultural professionals at their premises to implement a residency project.

Culture Moves Europe is the permanent mobility scheme funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union and implemented by the Goethe-Institut. The current call targets individual artists and cultural professionals. It runs until the end of May 2024 but has monthly cut-off dates for rolling evaluations. The mobility itself can take place at any time within one year after signature of the grant agreement, and should last between 7 and 60 days.
