Culture Moves Europe: Communication Officer Job (Belgium)

The Goethe-Institut is looking for a full-time Communication Officer for the EU-funded project Culture Moves Europe, for a one-year contract with possibility of extension.

The Goethe-Institut is implementing Culture Moves Europe on behalf of the European Commission, a full-scale mobility scheme for artists, cultural professionals and host organisations in all Creative Europe countries. The mobility scheme offers grants for mobility over a period of three years (2022–2025).

The successful candidate will be part of a team based in Brussels. The communication team is currently composed of two full-time and one part-time positions. The Communication Officer will report to the Senior Communications Officer.

Duties include:

  • Management of social media channels (X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube) by drafting and regularly publishing content as well as replying and interacting on the platforms
  • Production of alt-text for accessibility purposes on social media
  • Foster community engagement through interactive and creative campaigns
  • Collaboration with the team to translate ideas and concepts into compelling visual designs
  • Gathering relevant inputs and development of creative, innovative and fresh content for digital tools, including project’s news, artists’ projects’ promotion to be published and promoted on social media and website on regular basis
  • Creation of visually appealing compositions, based on the project’s guidelines, for both online and offline materials (posts, presentations, documents, printables, banners, etc.)
  • Develop clear protocols for sharing information, communicating and engaging with partner organisations and across the organisation
  • Regular update of the website

The Goethe-Institut Brussels offers a starting salary of 3.497 EUR to 3.802 EUR gross.
