The International Visegrad Fund (IVF) and Willa Decjusz (Krakow) are calling for writers interested in residencies. The applicant must be a citizen of one of the Visegrad countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary).
The residency is based on a partnership of four Host Institutions, one in each V4 country: Institut umeni (Arts Institute) in Prague, Petőfi Irodalmi Múzeum (Petőfi Literary Museum) in Budapest, Stowarzyszenie Willa Decjusza (Villa Decius Association) in Krakow and Literárne informačné centrum (Centre for Information on Literature) in Bratislava.
There are two residency periods available: Compact Spring Edition from 1 May to 12 June 2025 and the Regular Autumn Edition from 1 September to 30 November 2025.
Eligibility
- novelists, non-fiction authors, poets and translators (min. 18 years of age) with at least one published publication
- essayists, critics and publicists (min. 18 years of age) with at least three contributions in respected newspapers, magazines or electronic media
Support
- accommodation in a shared apartment
- scholarship of 1,300 EUR (spring term) and 2,400 EUR (autumn term)
- support of the host organisation (author readings, interviews, contacts with publishers, literary critics, etc.)
