RESEO, the European Network for Opera, Music and Dance Education, has announced the launch of its Europe and Beyond programme. The scheme will provide organisations and professionals from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine with financial assistance facilitating their participation in RESEO activities. Its aim is to expand the geographical and artistic diversity of the network, while fostering the exchange of knowledge, practice, methodologies and ideas across the continent.
The 2024 edition will provide mobility grants and fee waivers enabling 15 selected candidates to attend the RESEO Conference 2024 in Porto, Portugal. Applicants must be freelance artists/cultural operators or non-profit organisations, companies, collectives or cultural institutions based in eligible countries who have been active for more than two years in the opera, music or dance education field and who have never been a member of RESEO or attended an in-person RESEO event.
The conference on the topic ‘Navigating the future: Creating sustainable engagement’ will take place in Porto, Portugal, 24–26 October 2024 in partnership with Casa da Música. The conference will explore the role of arts professionals in enabling transformation and empowering the communities of tomorrow in the face of social, environmental and technological complexities to come.
Two grant types are available:
- Grant 1: free registration for the RESEO Conference 2024 and a financial contribution of 575 EUR towards travel, accommodation and visa costs
- Grant 2: free registration for the RESEO Conference 2024.
