Springback Academy is once again offering aspiring dance writers the opportunity to be mentored in the fundamentals of quality dance journalism at the annual Spring Forward festival in Guimarães, Portugal from 6 to 9 May 2026.

TIDAL ArtS will award four artists, collectives, or creatives a residency along with 50,000 EUR each to co-create artwork in unique locations across Europe in support of EU Mission: Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030.

The Podcast Academy is an Aerowaves initiative designed to master a valuable tool for dance and performance promotion. It consists of online sessions in February-April 2026 and in-person practice at Aerowaves Spring Forward festival, 6-9 May 2026 in Guimarães (Portugal).

For 2026, one proposal will be selected to join the ‘Bom Dia’ OASis Residency, at Cultivamos Cultura, Portugal, for a period of 7 to 30 days during the month of April 2026.

Artists and musical projects can apply to the 2026 edition of Westway LAB, which will take place from 8 to 11 April. Applications are open for both the artists-in-residence programme and/or the city showcases.

This call is directed to European artists with a close relation with music and sound, with a focus on experimentation, innovation, improvisation, cooperative creation and audience engagement. The selected artists will take part of one artistic residency (in France, Portugal, or Czech Republic) with a duration of seven or eight days.

The first edition of the International Forum Citizenship through Aesthetics will take place in person from 15 to 19 October 2025 in São Miguel, Azores, Portugal.

Lugar Futuro 2026, organised by Lugar Presente in Viseu, Portugal, is open to emerging choreographers to present one of their first works in contemporary dance. The festival will take place 26 to 29 March 2026.

As part of their work to promote culture, the OEI and DGARTES have joined forces to launch this new programme of scholarships for artistic exchange and improvement in the geographical areas of Ibero-America and the CPLP, with the aim of promoting and enhancing artistic exchange, without forgetting the importance of supporting internationalisation.

Aerowaves is seeking 20 emerging choreographers based in geographical Europe. Applicants can now apply to become an Aerowaves artist with the opportunity to have their work presented at the Spring Forward festival next year on 6-9 May 2026 in Guimarães (Portugal), and also by many of Aerowaves’ partners around Europe.

We Want More! is inviting theatre artists, with or without disabilities, from the European Union, Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia), Turkey and Ukraine, to join the international workshop Capacity Building for Inclusion of Theatre Artists, taking place from 12 to 16 September 2025, in Lisbon, Portugal, at Teatro São Luiz.
