The Culture and Health Platform are calling for European artists working at the intersection of culture and elderly care to apply to join the International Hosting Week from 19-24 June 2025, in the Netherlands.
The Culture and Health Platform project, co-funded by the EU, is welcoming five international (EU) artists to the Netherlands for a five-day programme designed to explore the intersection of arts and elderly care. The programme includes:
- Visits to organisations to exchange and gain hands-on experience
- A shared dinner for informal networking and community-building
- A final presentation where both artists and participating organisations share their insights
The programme offers a diverse and inspiring range of site visits and activities, tailored to the interests and expertise of the participating artists. Some activities will be attended collectively by all five artists, while other sessions will be customised to provide deeper engagement in specific areas of interest. This week is designed to foster knowledge exchange, hands-on learning, and the opportunity to share expertise with Dutch institutions working in the same field.
At the end of the week, a presentation session will be organised, where both artists and all participating organisations of the hosting week will share their experiences.
Thanks to the Culture and Health Platform project, co-funded by the EU, all expenses—including travel to the Netherlands, accommodation (18-25 June), meals, local transportation, and program activities—are fully covered. Artists will be reimbursed after the programme, with travel costs covered up to 250 EUR for distances up to 500 km and up to 450 EUR for distances over 500 km. For journeys of 600 km or more, a green mobility top-up of 350 EUR will be provided. Additionally, food and beverage expenses will be reimbursed up to a reasonable daily amount.
