IETM Global Connect 2026 Open Call invites performing arts professionals from around the world to become ‘Global Connectors’, bringing fresh perspectives into IETM’s international network of contemporary performing arts.
Global Connect is supported by IETM Associate Members and continues the network’s commitment to inclusion, diversity, accessibility and eco-responsibility. It aims to amplify under-represented voices, foster peer learning, and encourage international collaboration across the contemporary performing arts field.
Selected Global Connectors will contribute to IETM’s activities, expand their international networks, share innovative or indigenous practices, and acquire new skills. They will take part in exclusive online community-building sessions from January to May 2026, including an introductory session, one-to-one meeting with the IETM team, networking activities, a podcast series and live testimonies. They will also receive funding to attend the IETM Plenary Meeting in Oulu, Finland, from 15 to 18 June 2026
The call is open to performing arts professionals (producers, artists, managers, presenters and others) working in contemporary performing arts (excluding live music). Applicants must have at least five years of professional experience, be able to communicate in English, and be available to travel to Finland in June 2026. They should not be current IETM members or Global Connect alumni. Priority will be given to those from regions with low or no IETM membership and to under-represented groups.
Global Connectors will receive a free individual IETM membership for five years (2026–2030) with full benefits, including free registration to IETM events, access to training, digital tools and governance, alongside their participation in online sessions and the funded Plenary Meeting. The travel, accommodation, visa and other relevant costs for the Plenary Meeting will be covered.
