Astragàli Teatro - Eufonia Società Cooperativa (Italy), in collaboration with Fundación de la Danza Alicia Alonso of the University of Madrid Rey Juan Carlos (Spain), Institut im. Jerzego Grotowskiego (Poland), Theatro Tsi Zakynthos (Greece), University of Salento - Department of Engineering for Innovation - Augmented and Virtual Reality Lab (Italy), are pleased to announce an intercultural call for artists for the participation in artistic activities in Spain, Poland, Italy within the project A.P.P.S. - Antigone’s Pride - Performing Society, supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe Programme – Cultural Cooperation projects.
The call is addressed to emerging and professional actresses and actors, especially with migrant background, living in Italy, Poland, Spain and other EU countries, for the participation in the international performance ‘Antigone’s Cantica’, which will be produced during the project.
The project envisages the implementation of three Eco-Arts Residences in three natural parks in Spain, in Poland and in Italy. The theatrical ecology activity in the parks will be connected with the research and experimentation of new forms of site-specific performance in the nature and the realisation of the international multilingual performance Antigone’s Cantica.
The selected artists will participate in the performance preparation and presentation during three international artistic residences held in 2023 in Spain (second half of April), Poland (first half of June) and Italy (first half of July). They will participate in full immersion rehearsals of about two weeks for each artistic residence. The final multilingual, site-specific performance will be presented in natural environments in the three countries. The participants will also take part in preparatory activities that will take place online before each in-person residence.
The project can cover the travel and accommodation costs for the selected participants.
