Antre Peaux is looking for a full-time Executive Director to work in Bourges, France, starting from 1 July 2026.
Antre Peaux defends alternative cultures, supports emerging creative practices, and fosters artistic experimentation in all its forms. As an engaged and activist organisation, Antre Peaux highlights voices, career paths and artistic practices that are often marginalised in traditional cultural circuits, reaffirming its strong commitment to diversity.
Working closely with the team and the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s overall project and for defining and implementing its artistic and cultural vision, in line with the association’s values and strategic orientations. In particular, the Executive Director contributes to the development, structuring and programming of the Visual Arts Department.
Requirements include the following:
- Excellent understanding of non-profit organisational structures
- Strong administrative, legal, social, budgetary and financial skills
- Proficient in non-profit accounting standards and practices
- Ability to analyse financial and accounting data
- In-depth knowledge of public cultural policies and funding mechanisms
- Strong understanding of public and institutional stakeholder dynamics
- Comprehensive knowledge of the sector’s actors, professional networks and local ecosystem
- Expertise in artistic programming
- Strong command of regulations related to public venues, safety standards, legal and technical frameworks
- Proficiency in office and management tools required for executive responsibilities
- Full professional proficiency in English
The salary is based on profile and experience (Group 1 – CCNEAC collective agreement).
