Àgora Cívica: Towards a Network of Creative Networks

Abstract, coloured shapes.

On the Move’s Director of Operations Yohann Floch will be participating in the Agora Cívica in Barcelona, in a session called ‘Towards a Network of Creative Networks’ on 1 October 2025 at MACBA.

This session will present various experiences and challenges related to supporting artistic creation at both local and international levels. It will bring together institutions and festivals with residency spaces, as well as international projects and networks that, through mobility support, expand opportunities for creators and foster cultural diversity. The debate will focus on the policies and support mechanisms necessary to meet the needs of artists and other cultural actors. Speakers include David Marín, Yohann Floch, Lorena Martínez Mier, Carles Giner, Alba Colombo (UOC).

The Àgora Cívica is a space for debate and the exchange of local and international experiences and reflections in which to collectively consider the role of culture in the construction of contemporary societies. It was born from the agreement between the Barcelona City Council, the Barcelona Provincial Council, the Government of Catalonia, and the Ministry of Culture, within the framework of MONDIACULT 2025 — the intergovernmental conference on cultural policies promoted by UNESCO and held in Barcelona. The Civic Agora will take place in various locations across the city of Barcelona from 26 September to 1 October 2025.
