Thoughtworks Arts seeks two artists-in-residence for separate but parallel residencies on-site at Mars.college, an educational programme, R&D Lab and off-grid residential community in the desert area of Bombay Beach, California. Artists are invited to apply to develop a project on one of two themes: ‘Speculative Futures - Do It There, Take It Back To The Neighborhood’ or ‘Alternative AI Creative Infrastructures - The Sky’s The Limit’. Mandatory dates of the programme run from 1 January to 31 March 2023.

ThoughtWorks Arts, a global technology research lab, and CounterPulse, an experimental and interdisciplinary dance and performance space in San Francisco, are partnering to launch a new artistic residency opportunity working with a customisable network on-site at CounterPulse’s facility in downtown San Francisco. This sixteen week residency is open to artists and collectives and will run from 27 September 2021 – 4 February 2022. It can be undertaken in person or remotely.

ThoughtWorks, a global software consultancy with an arts residency based in New York City, seeks an artist/technologist who works in their art practice with issues of synthetic media and deepfakes. This sixteen-week residency runs from 4 May to 21 August 2020. Applications are invited internationally. Deadline: 5 March 2020.
