The UPBEAT x EMMA Artist Mentoring Programme from UPBEAT – The European Showcase Platform for World Music and the European Music Managers Alliance (co-funded by the European Union) is looking for experienced European music managers passionate about helping the next generation of artists grow their careers in the music industry.
The mentoring programme (from February to September 2026) will focus on developing the skills of emerging world/global music artists, therefore an interest in and experience with the genre is necessary. All official activities are planned to be conducted online.
Required experience for future mentors:
- Currently residing and actively working within Europe
- Have a good overview of the European world/global music scene
- Min. 5 years of continuous activity in the local and international music industry
- Experience of active participation in key events, projects and initiatives of the international music industry (e.g. music and showcase festivals, conferences, partnerships)
- Have a well-developed network in the international music industry
- Have highly developed strategic competencies to support emerging artists in building their own strategic plans (e.g., long-term strategies for artists, management companies, marketing plans, releases, etc.)
- Able to issue an invoice
As part of the UPBEAT x EMMA Artist Mentoring Programme, mentors receive:
- Remuneration: 1,000 EUR per mentee (one introductory meeting, at least four 60-minute sessions, 1 detailed career plan prepared per mentee)
- Access to the EMMA and UPBEAT communities and networking opportunities
- Online promotion on UPBEAT’s websites and social media platforms
