Gasworks is calling for applications from early-career artists based in the Caribbean (Anguilla; Antigua and Barbuda; Aruba; Bahamas; Barbados; Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba; British Virgin Islands; Cayman Islands; Cuba; Curaçao; Dominica; Dominican Republic; Grenada; Guadeloupe; Haiti; Jamaica; Martinque; Montserrat; Puerto Rico; Saint Barthélemy; Saint Kitts and Nevis; Saint Lucia; Saint Martin; Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; Sint Maarten; Trinidad and Tobago; Turks and Caicos Islands; United States Virgin Islands). The eleven-week, fully funded residency will take place at Gasworks in London from 6 January – 24 March 2027.
The residencies programme supports professional development, cultural exchange, and artistic experimentation. They host up to twenty residencies each year, bringing artists from all over the world to London. All residencies are self-led, non-prescriptive and process-based; they are about enabling artists to research and develop new work, engage with the city, and build their networks.

Support:
- Private studio.
- Single room accommodation.
- Economy return flights and taxi transfers from the artist’s home country to London.
- All visa costs and support with the visa application process.
- A weekly stipend of 175 GBP to cover living expenses in London.
- A materials budget of up to 800 GBP.
- A prepaid travel card (TFL zones 1+2) for unlimited travel within central London.
- Studio visits.
- An Open Studio event and presentation introducing the work and research.
- Access to Gasworks’ basic tools and AV equipment, subject to availability.
- Networking opportunities and at least two individual studio visits.
- Administrative, pastoral, and curatorial support from Gasworks.
