Ey!MAD European Mobility Residency 2025 for European Artists (Spain)

#Ey!Studio is calling for applications from resident women artists from any member country of Creative Europe, except Spain, for their Ey!MAD European Mobility Residency in Madrid, Spain, from 24 March to 22 May 2025.

The main objective of the residency is to carry out a contextual project starting from the Carabanchel district to establish connections, in a broad sense, with various stakeholders in the district, including associations, residents, and others, based on the proposed research line: The condition of migrant women. The project is specifically interested in projects that highlight the tangible and intangible heritage of the past and present conditions of migrant women from a gender perspective.

#Ey!Studio is an independent space of contemporary creation located in the district of Carabanchel in Madrid, which advocates to artistic creation, dialogue and artistic research, as well as promotes, supports, and showcases visual arts. The #Ey!MAD arise from a commitment to participatory processes and the democratisation of contemporary artistic practices, especially aimed at involving the community fabric of the district of Carabanchel.

There are two artistic residencies of two months for two women artists available.

Support includes:

  • A workspace and accommodation during the months of residence in #Ey!Studio with all expenses and services included.
  • Financial endowment of 1,500 EUR taxes included, covering copyright, production, subsistence and project presentation.
  • A travel allowance of up to 350 EUR for distances between 600–5000 km, or up to 700 EUR for journeys over 5000 km.
  • Top-ups will be available (for more sustainable travel, for applicants from overseas countries and territories/outermost regions, for visa fees and for family support).
