The City of Regensburg’s Cultural Office is calling for applications for their RAiR – Regensburg Arts in Residence programme from 19 January to 15 February 2026 in Regensburg, Germany.
As part of the new programme, the city of Regensburg is offering one of the two new studio apartments in a historic house in the heart of Regensburg’s old town. Located directly on the Stone Bridge and thus along the Danube River, the studio apartments space for art and creativity. Numerous galleries and studios are located in the immediate vicinity.
Expectations:
- The artist is asked to engage with the (citizens of the) City of Regensburg, for example through participatory activities such as workshops, performances, happenings, etc.
- The project proposal therefore must include ideas that involve the (citizens of the) City of Regensburg
- An artist talk is planned during the residency
- All activities, including the artist talk, should take place in the shared space
This call is open to artists born or residing in one of the CreArt partner cities: Kaunas, Liepaja, Skopje, Aveiro, Valladolid, Lublin, Venice, Clermont-Ferrand, Rouen, Regensburg, České Budějovice, Oulu. Also members of HDLU (Croatian Association of Visual Artists), and Ukrainian artists via the collaboration with Lviv Artistic Council ‘Dialogue’.

- A grant of: 1,000 EUR per month (+ refund up to max. 400 EUR for material and production costs, + refund up to max. 400 EUR for travel costs)
