Centro Luigi Di Sarro: Art Residency Project 2026 for Young Visual Artists (Italy)

Art Residency Project (ARP) 2026 invites young artists to engage with the present through practices that intertwine art, care, technology, ecology, and accessibility.

‘Repairing the Present, Imagining the Possible’ is the concept for this edition. In a time shaped by crises, conflicts, and profound transformations, art once again becomes a space for care, listening, and resistance, a place to mend historical and social wounds, to interrogate new technologies and their invisible powers, and to restore value to materiality, gesture, and imperfection.

ARP – PACK AND GO asks artists to create a work that can travel everywhere in a simple hand luggage so as to allow maximum mobility. ARP’s Committee will select five artists based on the submitted work, as well as one curator, who will work in dialogue with the winning artists, all of whom must be under 30 years old.

The six winners will complete a two-week training residency in Rome, Italy, at the Centro Luigi Di Sarro. During this residency, they will participate in the HIC ET NUNC workshop, which includes meetings with experts and scholars and a series of visits and activities at museums and historical sites. After the workshop, they will create a group exhibition. This experience may have a following promoting tour in different locations.

Applicants must be interested in a group experience and available to carry out the activities outlined in the call between September and October 2026.

Travel tickets, accommodation, and activities included in the programme will be guaranteed by the organisers. Food and personal expenses are in charge of the participants.
