The two festivals Carinthischer Sommer (in Carinthia, Austria) and Mittelfest (in Cividale del Friuli, Italy) are calling for music and performance projects by artists or ensembles under the age of 30 from EU member states and EFTA countries.
The two organisations are running separate open calls (artists can apply to one or both), but with a cross-over element inviting some projects to perform at both events.
For Carinthischer Sommer, the call takes place under the youth project ‘CS under 30’, and is aimed at young artists and ensembles in the EU member states and in Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway (EFTA countries). Applicants must be under 30 and the call is open to individuals and ensembles of up to 6 people. The (optional) theme for the festival is ‘Laugh’. Selected applicants will perform on 16 August 2023.
Selected projects will receive financial support up to a maximum amount of 4000 EUR, including all legally required social security contributions and taxes as well as the costs for travel to and from the performance venue.
