Caribbean Culture Fund: For Projects from Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, the Dominican Republic and Haiti

The Caribbean Culture Fund (CCF) call for proposals, distributed by their fiscal sponsor Le Centre d’Art, invites individuals, organisations, and institutions from Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, the Dominican Republic and Haiti to submit cultural and creative projects.

The CCF intends to support projects across all genres, including:

  • Visual Arts (all media, including photography and new and time-based media)
  • Performing Arts (music, dance, theatre)
  • Festival Arts
  • Film (fiction and documentary, feature length and short)
  • Interdisciplinary art forms (involving any of the above)
  • Architecture and Design

Core values of the call include inclusion, sustainability, and transmission and/or preservation.

Call 1.1: Art for Social Change and Civic Engagement

Artists and arts organisations are invited to interpret this theme through new work or continuation of existing work. Sub-themes such as Caribbean identities, climate justice, may also be explored. Preference will be given to educational, experimental, and inclusive creations and productions, or training and/or transmission activities. Creativity means presenting quality original and/or experimental projects. The CCF will award 10 grants of 10,000 USD.

Call 1.2: Caribbean Collaboration

This theme calls for projects that reflect intra-regional cooperation and the promotion of arts across linguistic and geographic boundaries within the region. These include joint productions, translation and/or subtitling. The primary applicant must be in one of the countries prioritised for this call, but the collaborators may be in any other eligible country or the Caribbean diaspora. The CCF will award six grants of 25,000 USD.
