Teatroskop: Performing Arts Collaborations between France and South-East Europe 2026

Title of the call with a person on stage surrounded by some and holding a big object.

TEATROSKOP invites cultural and artistic organisations to submit their proposals for the 2026 Call for Projects. As Teatroskop celebrates 15 years in motion, this anniversary edition places a special attention on projects that promote collaboration, mobility and dialogue between France and South-East Europe.

TEATROSKOP is seeking initiatives that bring artists and audiences together through contemporary dance, contemporary circus, puppetry, arts in public space, and theatre to a lesser extent.

The call brings together several strands (including cooperation, circulation, capacity-building and professional exchange) and they welcome proposals that combine these dimensions in imaginative ways, whether through co-creations and residencies, shared productions, artist or producer laboratories, or meaningful encounters with local communities.

Projects must involve at least one organisation from France and two partner organisations from two different countries within the TEATROSKOP geographic zone: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey. The lead applicant must be a legally registered cultural or artistic organisation based in one of these countries.

The programme supports initiatives that celebrate inclusivity and accessibility, particularly those led by women authors, artists from diverse backgrounds or artists with disabilities, as well as projects that work intentionally with audiences of all ages.

TEATROSKOP also encourages environmentally responsible approaches. Particular attention will be given to proposals that decentralise artistic activity beyond capital cities and that actively strengthen regional connections within South-East Europe.

Selected projects may receive up to 6,000 EUR, covering a maximum of 50% of the total project budget. Eligible expenses include artistic and technical fees, travel and local transport, accommodation, per diems, production or rental costs, accessibility-related adjustments, and mediation or audience development activities. Co-funding, whether in cash or in-kind, must be demonstrated.
