Lugar Futuro – First Works is a showcase of choreographic works by young choreographers who are starting a career in the professional world of dance, framed within the youth dance festival Lugar Futuro which takes place annually and had its first edition in 2020, in the city of Viseu, Portugal.
The organisers are now calling for applicants for the next edition, which will take place from 21-24 March 2024. Applicants should be between 18-30 years old, and have a completed piece between 10-25 minutes in length with max. 5 performers.
Selected choreographers /groups living abroad will receive a grant of 500 EUR, as well as support for international travel up to max. 500 EUR. Lugar Futuro will provide accommodation and meals in Viseu.
