Digital Lab Africa, a platform for creative innovation in Africa, has launched a call for projects that targets artists, producers, designers, start-ups, and students in the media and creative industries. This call is open to anyone from Sub-Saharan Africa having an innovative project falling into one or more of five categories: digital art, immersive realities, video games, animation, and music.
Each selected applicant will receive a Digital Lab Africa Incubation Pass to fast track the development of their project, granting:
- Mentorship and training by experts from France and Sub-Saharan African countries.
- Residency time in France within a digital cluster.
- Support for participation at international industry events.
The exact support offered varies from one category to another. Activities take place between May-December 2020.
Applicants should be residents or nationals of a sub-Saharan African country. Projects can be submitted by a candidate who does not live in sub-Saharan Africa on condition that this candidate is a national of one of the countries of this region. In this case, the project development and production should be mostly implemented in a sub-Saharan African country.
