DAÏMÔN: In-person and Virtual Residencies in Media Arts (Canada / Online)

Founded in 1986 in the Outaouais region of Quebec, DAÏMÔN is a resource centre for artists in the region. It also hosts artists from Quebec, the rest of Canada and abroad in production residencies. DAÏMÔN is currently calling for artists for both in-person and virtual residencies.

In-person residencies

The Artist(s)-in-Residence programme supports research and creation projects within the media arts field. These residencies run over a period of four weeks. As part of this programme, DAÏMÔN offers:

  • Technical and artistic support.
  • Accommodation for out-of-region artists.
  • Access to state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Services and support by a technician.
  • Artist’s fee of $1800.
  • Travel allowance.

Virtual residencies

Open to artists from around the world with an active practice in media arts, the Virtual Residencies program supports online research, creation and dissemination projects. Through this program, DAÏMÔN offers:

  • Technical and artistic support.
  • Access to software and portable equipment.
  • Virtual services of a technician.
  • Artist’s fee of $750.
  • Virtual tools and broadcasting platform.
