Bærum Kunsthall invites visual and craft artists to apply to be a part of the 2027 exhibition programme through the juried Open Call.
Each exhibition period has a maximum of three solo exhibitions across the three rooms. The programme is decided based on the goal of being an exhibition space for uncompromising and current contemporary art with a focus on artists based in the Nordic and Baltic countries. To apply for exhibition space in 2027, applicants must therefore have a connection to the Nordic or the Baltic countries. Artists are welcome to apply alone or as a duo.
Bærum Kunsthall accepts applications in all Scandinavian languages as well as English. The majority of this year’s jury does not read Scandinavian languages. If you are comfortable writing in English, it is therefore recommended. Applications in Scandinavian languages will be translated.
The following will not be considered:
- Artists who have exhibited at Bærum Kunsthall in the past two years, exception of artists exhibited in Bærumsutstillingen, BK’s group exhibitions and BKiB’s member exhibitions.
- Projects / works exhibited in Oslo and Eastern Norway in the past two years
BK pays a modest artist fee, an honorarium for artist talks, and a small transport subsidy to all artists.
