    The Defrosting project (part of Moving Classics: Sonic Flux) is an opportunity for a musician, composer or sound artist to create the audio for a 10-13 minute film during a residency in Svalbard, Norway in 2021. The piece will respond to themes of displacement and climate change. Applications are open to artists of any UK/EU/EEA nationality living and working in Scotland.

  • News / Mural for Street Art Festival in Flekkefjord

    Flekkefjord is a small town in the south of Norway. In 2020, it will hold the fifth edition of its street arts festival, and the organisers are looking for a street artist to work on the wall of a tower in the town. The artist is expect to arrive from 1 June 2020. Work needs to be completed 5 June, and then the festival begins on the 6th. The theme for the project is ‘Change’. Deadline: 10 April 2020.

    The Nordic Artists’ Centre (NKD) is located just north of Sognefjorden, on the west coast of Norway. For 2021, the Centre’s residency programme welcomes applications from professional visual artists, designers and architects for residencies of two, three or four months duration. Curators are eligible to apply for a one-month residence. Deadline: 1 March 2020.
