The CRECE project is a circus creation laboratory led by the Carampa Circus School and supported by FEDEC, aimed at artists/students recently graduated from a school or who are in their last year of school, to create a show together, which could include short forms (acts: 5-8 minutes) or pieces of intermediate duration with several artists (10-15 minutes).

Under the Moving Identities project, 6 European residency institutions are looking for companies of established performing artists of 2-5 people based in Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Norway, and Spain. The programme targets applicants who can relate to / explore themes of diversity and inclusion within European Identities.

The Global Cultural Relations Programme (GCRP) is a unique opportunity to create meaningful connections and discuss cross-cultural collaborations. This year both cultural and creative professionals and those working in the field of climate change and environmental issues are invited to apply. The GCRP will take place in Madrid, Spain from 10-13 October 2023.

Transversal Aesthetics is a programme for research and experimentation on the intersection between art, mediation and social space. This latest edition makes a connection between the local context of the Arga river (Huarte) and that of the river Besòs (Barcelona), examining the common theme of ‘Air’. Two projects will be selected through a joint open call for submissions, and will be carried out between September and December 2023.

The Summer Sessions are short-term international art and technology residencies for emerging artists and designers. Each Summer Sessions residency lasts approximately eight weeks and takes place between July and September. This year the programme is open to artists under the age of 35 and/or graduated within the past five years living in Netherlands, Croatia, Italy, Norway, Spain or Egypt.

The RACOR cross-artistic research residency programme is open to artists working in any creative discipline anywhere in the world who are carrying out an art research project which in some way involves the technical and scientific world. The selected artist or group will receive a grant to carry out a cross-residency split between Barcelona (Hangar and CCCB) and Donostia/San Sebastián (Tabakalera). The residency will last two and a half months, with five weeks in each city.

Performing Life Akademia Network [PLANT] is a 2-year transdisciplinary project, funded by Creative Europe Programme, that aims to encourage the development and experimentation of contextual artistic and curatorial practices around cross-performing arts, eco-thinking and everyday life. PLANT is now calling for proposals for artistic projects to be developed through residencies of 1 year period, in the countries involved in the project (Portugal, Greece and Spain).

The SCREEN residency offers artists 4 weeks to carry out a project or part of a project of expanded cinema, paracinema, installation or film sculpture, that explores the concept of SCREEN. Residencies will take place at Hangar / Crater-Lab in Barcelona, Spain in one of three slots: 1-30 July 2023, 1-30 September 2023, 27 October – 27 November 2023.

In collaboration with Galleria Continua, La Residencia (a Belmond Hotel in Mallorca’s UNESCO protected Sierra de Tramuntana) has launched an open call inviting artists to apply for one of three residencies: May-June 2023, July-August 2023, or September-October 2023.

The main goal of ARTeCHÓ is to create a peer-to-peer learning community for artists to learn more about the technical side of the art-making process and its intersection with new technologies, Crypto Art, blockchain, and NFT marketplaces. 15 artists and designers will join a 7-month Fellowship Programme (April - October 2023) where they work on their proposed projects and present them to the public at the end of the trajectory. The Fellowship Programme focuses on digital productions but does not exclude other forms.

BETA PUBLICA announces the X EDITION of the International Choreographic Showcase BETA PUBLICA, which will take place 1-4 June 2023 at the Sala Negra of Teatros del Canal within the Madrid en Danza festival. The BETA PUBLICA Showcase is open to the participation of creators from any country in the world. Presented choreographies must be of contemporary style, adapted for presentation in a conventional stage space with multimedia resources. Works should be 10-15 minutes in length.
