The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin is calling for applications from museum professionals from African and European countries for TheMuseumsLab 2025 programme, a platform for joint learning, perspective exchange, networking and career building among African and European professionals.

As part of the regional ICC development project in Indian Ocean, the IOC is launching the third round of allocation of ‘AléVini, regional mobility support fund’. The project, financed by the French Development Agency (AFD), aims to strengthen regional collaboration and contribute to local economic development linked to the structuring of cultural actors and their ecosystem.

Co-Cr8 is a four-week experimental cross-disciplinary residency that brings together six artists from various disciplines, including fashion design, photography, painting, textile design, dance, and poetry. The residency is from October to November 2024, in Kaduna, Nigeria, and will include local and international artists.

Babbasawt Sound Lab residency offers a fully funded opportunity for musicians, sound artists, and multidisciplinary artists working with sound, currently residing in Europe. The residency takes place from 6 January to 7 February 2025, in Tunis, Tunisia.

The Merian Institute for Advanced Studies in Africa (MIASA) invites applications for up to two Artists in Residence for three months each at the University of Ghana (in the Academic Year 2025/2026).

The New Dimensions Lab is now in its 7th edition and accepting applications from African artists. The Lab takes place from 23 to 30 November 2024 in South Africa, where artists engage in discussions and masterclasses, and workshop their creative projects.

The Gil Mendo Mobility Grant aims to support artists’ and other cultural professionals’ mobility focusing on dance as the main artistic discipline and/or departing point, yet also including any potential transdisciplinary crossover approaches.

Through this grant the Goethe-Institut supports art professionals from across South Africa who collaborate with cultural or public spaces and engage with the people in the areas where these spaces are located in South Africa, Eswatini and Lesotho.

Cassava Republic is calling for African women editors at all stages of their careers. From 28 August to 8 September 2024, they will be facilitating a 10-day residential workshop in South Africa for African women editors based on the continent.
