On the Move’s research and action project, focusing on the situation of at-risk and displaced artists and culture professionals, enters a new phase with the publication of recommended policy instruments, operational descriptions of proposed tools, and publications mapping existing programmes and funds across EU countries, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
This final phase aims to build on the previous analysis published in Intersecting Temporalities: At-risk and Displaced Artists in Transition (Volume 1: Scoping Review), Policy and Practice in the EU: Pathways, Impediments and Patchwork Solutions (Volume 2: Cultural Policy Analysis), and Protecting and Supporting At-risk and Displaced Arts Professionals Across Borders (Volume 3: Case Studies), as well as on the informed and detailed recommendations developed therein, in order to co-design innovative responses by local, national, regional, and international support organisations and institutions.
These operational instruments specifically address, on the one hand, the urgent support needs of at-risk arts professionals and, on the other, the active inclusion and long-term support of displaced arts professionals.
You are invited to discover each of the chapters of the publication below that will be uploaded throughout the year 2026.
