    Residency, ‘Ukraine’s Artistic Response to the Russian Invasion’ (Ukraine)
    On 2-9 June 2023, the EU Delegation to Ukraine is inviting 20 artists from EU member states and Ukraine to participate in a cultural residence. It aims to reflect on Ukraine’s cultural response to Russian aggression, emphasises the place of Ukrainian culture within broader European culture, and highlights its uniqueness.

Awards will be given to young talents’ ideas as well as to existing projects connected to the values of the NEB movement: sustainability, inclusiveness and aesthetics. Both EU and non-EU nationals can apply, as long as their concept, idea or project is actually developed and/or physically located in the EU.

    Transcultura, a Programme funded by the European Union, will support three selected music projects (either individuals, duets or bands) to attend the next edition of WOMEX, to be held in the city of Porto, Portugal from 26-31 October 2021.     The Situation of Circus in Europe
    The Situation of Circus in Europe presents a study on the circus sector in the European Union. The study is intended to be a legacy of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 and follows up on the first inventory study on the sector commissioned by the European Parliament in 2003. The study focuses on collecting, creating and presenting quantitative and qualitative information to report on the current situation of the sector in the European Union. Based on descriptive analyses, an analysis is provided and recommendations have been developed related to the socio-economic profile of the sector, the educational situation of children whose parents work in the sector, its innovative potential, and the (potential) usage and improvements of EU-funding provisions for the sector.

This OMC group had been convened under the Work Plan for Culture 2011-2014 Priority Area C “Skills & Mobility”. This handbook is a useful tool for residencies’ models, best practices and key resources.
