Speckled red-black background for the words 'Open Call Air 2023'.

The Petrohradská kolektiv art centre in Prague announce an open call for artists to participate in an international artist in residence programme for the year 2023.

The residency programme is intended for active artists, creators, and theorists, who desire independence and want space and technical support for working on their projects. That’s what the Petrohradská kolektiv AiR programme offers in the heart of a multi-genre cultural centre in Prague. The goal of the programme is creating an open platform for international artistic dialogue, interconnection of different cultures, and support for emerging artists working with diverse media.

The residencies are an opportunity for independent professional development, artistic exchange, networking, and experiments. The resulting outputs of the residencies will be showcased in Jedna Dva Tři Gallery at Petrohradská kolektiv complex. The main theme of the exhibition programme of the gallery for 2023 is ‘Survival course’, and applicants are asked to take this into account when applying with their projects.

  • Accommodation and a studio in the Petrohradská kolektiv complex.
  • Coverage of travel and material costs (up to 200€).
  • Technical support and consultation.
  • Exhibition in Jedna Dva Tři Gallery (or an alternative).
  • Free entrance to all the events organised by Petrohradská kolektiv.

The residency will take place for 4-8 weeks between May and November 2023.
