A new initiative of ITMO University in Saint Petersburg, the idea behind Art.ITMO.Residency is to aggregate talents from art and technology in one place in order to foster interaction between scientific knowledge and artistic perception. Opening up ITMO University’s international research labs to contemporary artists from all around the world for collaboration, it has the potential to create new knowledge, ideas, and processes.
Residencies last 1-2 months and will take place September - October 2020, with 3-4 artists hosted at one time. The working language is English.

Travel expenses (economy class return tickets to St.Petersburg).
Accommodation in St.Petersburg.
Exhibition space and installation.
Opportunity to apply for additional funding to cover artwork production expenses.
Applications are invited from artists and scientists who are interested in transdisciplinary artistic, scientific and technological dialogue. The organisers welcome diverse interpretations, innovative concepts and ideas. Participants can create new works in a variety of forms: from installations, sculpture and video to new media and digital art.
