TRACES (Transdisciplinary Research in Arts, Creation & Sciences) is a new international Art & Science residency programme based on the Energypolis campus in Sion, Switzerland.

For its pilot edition, TRACES invites an international visual artist to spend three months in dialogue with the Laboratory for Energy Materials of Prof. Sascha Feldmann (EPFL) from 11 January to 18 April 2027, with a public presentation on 15 April 2027.

The lab explores how light and matter interact to design the next generation of ‘soft’ semiconductors, used in flexible solar cells, energy-efficient displays and quantum technologies. The residency is run by the FDDM in partnership with EPFL-Valais, Energypolis SA, the City of Sion and the Canton of Valais.
