The European project Intimate Bridges is a collaboration with theatre companies and civil society organisations in Brescia (I.DRA.), Milan (STRATAGEMMI Prospettive Teatrali), Lisboa (Renovar a Mouraria Association), Vienna (Stand129) and Athens (ENTROPIA) It attempts to bridge in a genuine way the gaps and to challenge stereotypical images between the communities of refugees and migrants on the one hand and local communities on the other, thus promoting mutual understanding and social inclusion. It was developed through joint co-creation workshops and climaxed with ‘intimate’ performances at non-conventional theatre spaces in all participating cities.
Now, Entropia is organising an international conference on 14 September 2021 in Athens, with the aim of presenting the methodology and results of the project in the context of the participatory performing arts. On this occasion, they address an open call to performing Arts and socio-cultural organisations and professionals based in Europe that are interested in this approach and/or have in the past or are about to launch similar projects in theme or implementation, to participate in the conference and to have the chance the exchange, network and promote their projects.
Successful applicants residing outside Greece will have their airfare and a two-night accommodation (13-14 September 2021) covered by the company.
