'Cultural diplomacy to counter disinformation.'

The organisers of CuDi - Cultural Diplomacy to Counter Disinformation are glad to invite you to their international conference on how to use cultural diplomacy to counter disinformation. The event will take place on 3-5 September 2022 in Berlin and will gather 60 civil society from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine (the so-called Eastern Partnership countries).

One of the biggest security challenges and peace blockers in the countries of the Eastern Partnership is the spread of disinformation and propaganda through media, which is used to manipulate public opinion. Therefore, the CuDi Conference aims to enhance the role of cultural diplomacy in countering disinformation and wants to support exchange on best practices among the participants.

During the conference, there will be sessions from invited speakers, podium discussions, a simulation game, and an idea competition where the best three ideas will be awarded a mini-grant.

The organisers are looking for representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine (regardless if you are currently residing in one of the countries or live elsewhere) who are over 18 years old, have relevant experience in cultural diplomacy, countering disinformation, artistic projects, etc., and are fluent in English.

CuDi will reimburse your travel costs as well as provide meals and accommodation during the conference.
