Our guide to cross-border mobility for artists and cultural workers from and travelling to Germany.
This cultural mobility funding guide lists national, local and international resources from both public and private funders. Two kinds of opportunities are included: outgoing and incoming. The outgoing opportunities are for nationals and residents of Germany wishing to travel outside the country. The incoming opportunities are for nationals from other countries who want to travel to Germany.
The guide only lists regular opportunities that are accessible online (for instance for touring, residencies, collaborations, training, etc.). Funds where information is only available offline, schemes which do not use open calls, and one-off or short-term funding programmes are not included.
The 2026 edition of the Cultural Mobility Funding Guide to Germany was updated thanks to the research by OTM members, such as the team from the German Mobility Information Point ‘touring artists,’ the International Theatre Institute (ITI) Germany, the Internationale Gesellschaft der Bildenden Künste (IGBK, International Association of Art) and the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland (German Dance Association).
