Mekong Cultural Hub

Mekong Cultural Hub’s mission is to empower diverse cultural practitioners to bring to life their visions for an inclusive, sustainable Mekong Region. Since 2018, they have connected more than 150 practitioners from the region for professional exchange, co-creation and collaboration.

Mekong Cultural Hub works with people whose own work is at the intersection of arts and society. They initiate projects and work on collaborations all around Asia, with a priority focus on Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

    MCH is currently seeking people to host Local Gatherings as part of their 2024 Meeting Point. This can be an activity such as a talk, workshop, seminar or creative action which engages people in connection and exchange in relation to the theme ‘Perspectives from the Grassroots’. After organising their local event (anytime between 8-16 March 2023), hosts will take part in an in-person programme in Hanoi from 21-23 March 2024.

    Mekong Cultural Hub: Program Manager, Networks & Alliances (Remote / Cambodia / Taiwan)
    Mekong Cultural Hub is now recruiting a new position of Program Manager, responsible for leading programs and projects related to Networks & Alliances. The position is open to candidates from and based in South-East Asia and Taiwan. If the selected candidate is based in either Phnom Penh or Taipei they may work at a Living Arts International office. Otherwise, they will work remotely, with approximately 1-2 trips within South-East Asia and Taiwan per year.

    Mekong Cultural Hub: Experiments in Community Collaboration (Malaysia / Remote)
    Mekong Cultural Hub is calling for applications from community arts practitioners from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam with at least two years of experience to join their learning programme ‘Experiments in Community Collaboration’. The Meeting Point will take place at C-Lab, Taipei, from 20-22 May 2021.     SEAΔ is a programme co-created by Mekong Cultural Hub and British Council that creates space for cultural practitioners to reflect on how their work in arts and culture can contribute to sustainable development within South East Asia through their individual and collective leadership. The focus area for 2020-2021 is ‘Biotrade’. The programme has four stages, with gatherings taking place in countries in South East Asia between November 2020 and September 2021. 10 Fellows will be selected from 10 countries: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.
