the African Cultural Fund is launching this call for applications in partnership with the Institut Kôrè des Arts et Métiers (IKAM) and Arterial Network Cameroon, to select 15 young cultural managers from central Africa to participate in the BOOT CAMP #4 of the ACF ACADEMY programme, scheduled to take place from 7-12 August 2023, in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

We Make Books invites art publishers from Africa to participate in a programme that looks at the questions and challenges around co-publishing between art book and magazine publishers in Africa. The ‘Co-publishing Art Books in Africa’ workshop, networking event, and mini book fair will take place in Yaoundé, Cameroon from 16-19 February 2023.

The NZINGA Residency takes place over one month during October 2022 at the MOVART Gallery in Luanda, Angola. The programme is open to emerging female artists in contemporary African art (visual and plastic arts) who are nationals of one of the Portuguese-speaking African countries (Angola, Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, and São Tomé e Principe) or Timor Leste.

In the kulturweit Tandem project, two participants – one from an African country and one from Germany – reappraise the history of colonialism and its effects on the present. Together you develop anti-racism projects that you can implement in theatres, museums and schools, in charities, initiatives or companies in Germany. The first round of the programme will take place between September 2022 and February 2023. You can apply if you live in Germany, Ghana, Cameroon, Kenya, Namibia or Togo.

Le Fonds de mobilité «Culture au Sahel» soutient la mobilité à l’intérieur de la zone du G5 Sahel, et en direction de la Côte d’Ivoire et du Sénégal. «Culture au Sahel» est ouvert aux artistes et aux professionnels de la culture résidant dans l’un des 5 pays du G5 Sahel : Burkina-Faso, Mali, Mauritanie, Niger et Tchad. La période et la durée de la mobilité sont à la libre appréciation du candidat mais la mobilité doit être effectuée avant le 31 janvier 2022.

Les Jeux de la Francophonie 2021 se dérouleront du 23 juillet au 1er août à Kinshasa, en République démocratique du Congo. Sous l’égide de l’Organisation internationale de la francophonie (OIF), cet événement réunit tous les 4 ans plus de 3 500 jeunes artistes et athlètes issus des Etats et gouvernements membres de l’OIF. Les inscriptions pour les candidats aux concours culturels sont ouvertes auprès du ministère de la Culture en charge de présélectionner la délégation qui représentera la France. Date limite : 30 avril 2020.
