Ente Musicale e Culturale Filarmonica ‘G. Puccini’ is looking for five international musicians for their 71-day residency ‘Re-sounding Archives’ the medieval village of Suvereto, Tuscany, running from 21 September to 30 November 2026.
The project focuses on researching 19th century manuscripts from their archive to create new contemporary musical concepts and experimental sound art.
The residency invites applications from artists residing in a Creative Europe country (other than Italy) who are interested in experimental music and cultural heritage, with selection based on artistic excellence, relevance to the archival research, and collaborative potential. The residency welcomes all artists and are committed to creating an inclusive environment.
The residency offers accommodation in apartments in the historic centre, access to the Archive and the Sala Musica rehearsal hub, and guidance from expert mentors, in addition to the Culture Moves Europe support:
- Daily allowance (30 EUR/day)
- Travel allowance (400 EUR – 800 EUR)
- Green mobility top-up (400 EUR)
- Visa top-up (120 EUR/resident)
- Outermost regions, overseas countries and territories top-up (175 EUR/resident)
- Family top-up (200 EUR per child/resident)
- Accessibility support (375 EUR, 675 EUR or 1,200 EUR)
