Science Gallery Monterrey (Mexico) invites artists, researchers, community activists and critical thinkers to submit existing, interdisciplinary artistic and research projects for the next exhibition centred around the theme of CONSCIOUSNESS. The exhibition will open in October 2025.

The 2025 call for applications for the Circular Culture programme is once again open to support cultural festivals that champion sustainability. Led by the British Council in Latin America and the Caribbean, this programme offers both financial and training resources to promote artistic exchange between LATAC and the UK, in the countries of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela.

Dance and movement arts professionals based in Spain and/or Portugal are invited to submit their projects for the selection of 11 artistic and/or research residencies (technical residencies are excluded) to be carried out between April and November 2025 (six of them in Lugo of which three will be for applicants aged 30 and under and five on an exchange basis with structures in Spain, Portugal and Costa Rica).

Atopémonos Bailando is calling for dance and movement artists based in Spain and Portugal to apply for artistic and/or research residencies to be carried out between April and November 2024 (five of them in Lugo, Galicia, and three on an exchange basis with structures in Portugal and Costa Rica).

Studio Quantum is an international events and artist-in-residence programme from the Goethe-Institut, exploring emerging quantum technologies through the lens of art.  The Studio Quantum residences in 2024 are open to artists based in the following project locations: Germany, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Nigeria, India (States of Karnataka and Kerala), and South Africa. 

SFER IK Museion in Tulum, Mexico, invites artists from diverse disciplines to participate in an open call competition for the creation of groundbreaking art works using artificial intelligence to be placed at the enchanting natural environment of the Tulum Jungle.

Antikythera’s five-month speculative design-research Studio will run from February to June 2023. Studio Researchers from diverse professional backgrounds will take part in collaborative design briefs, theory seminars, and technical workshops to create projects contributing to a growing body of research building on the programme’s theme of ‘planetary computation’. Activities take place in Los Angeles, Mexico City and Seoul.

Submissions are open for the 11th edition of PRISMA–International Contemporary Dance Festival of Panama to be held in Panama City from 8-16 October 2022. The length of submitted work must be between 20 and 60 minutes. Proposed pieces can be designed for theatre setting or for public/alternative spaces.

The developer MIRA and arts consultancy MASSIVart invite national and international artists to develop a proposal for a permanent public artwork to be located in the public plaza of MIRA’s latest real estate development in Mexico City: Neuchâtel’s Cuadrante Polanco. It is expected that construction of the final selected project will take place October 2020 – March 2021. Deadline: 29 June 2020.

The 45th Annual Conference of the Caribbean Studies Association (CSA) will take place in Georgetown, Guyana, 1-5 June 2020. The topic of this year’s conference is ‘Identity Politics, Industry, Ecology and the Intelligent Economy in Caribbean Societies’. A limited number of travel grants are available for artists and writers from under-resourced Greater Caribbean nations who have a relevant proposal for the conference programme.
