Warehouse421 is a creative centre located in Mina Zayed, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and is dedicated to emerging creative practitioners and those who want to access art and harness it as an agent for inquiry, education, and growth.
The organisation has opened a number of open calls for the MENASA region across its various programmes:
Artistic Research Grant: A grant that aims to support a dynamic space for artistic research focused on the arts, pushing for a stronger engagement between creative practitioners and their communities across the region. Creative practitioners can work through disciplines including but not limited to visual art and curations, design and technology, literary arts, culinary arts, music, theatre and performance.
Curatorial Development Programne – Future Perfect: Warehouse421 and the Bombay Institute for Critical Analysis and Research (BICAR) invite curators from the MENASA to propose a group exhibition and publication on ‘Future Perfect: Catastrophe and the Contemporary’.
Artistic Developmental Exhibition: An exhibition process that emphasises the professional and creative development of participating creative practitioners.
Homebound Residency – Digital Communities: A six-month programme that seeks to support creative practitioners from within the region in producing new works and exploring the digital forms of community engagement within their practices while working remotely.
Internship and Mentorship Programme: A paid internship opportunity at Warehouse421.
